Scouts 14 and older and adults are encouraged to participate in this training.  The Lecture portion of the course covers basic winter skills to include First Aid, Proper Gear Selection, How to Stay Warm in the Snow, Snow Shelters and Avalanche Safety.  The Field Trip will put these new skills to the test as scouts and adult alike will build their own snow shelters and spend the night in them.
