Tree Recycling

Thank you to everyone who participated.

See you next year!

January 8-9, 2022

COVID Precautions

Yes we are still offering our tree services this year! In order to keep everyone in our troop and the public safe, we have implemented some new practices. Everything will be as contactless as possible. We will not be dropping off fliers on doors this year in order to minimize contact and observe social distancing. You can arrange for pickup and make donations 100% online now! Drop offs will be done "drive through" style so you do not need to get out of your vehicle - our scouts will unload for you. Everyone will wear masks and maintain social distance during pickups and drop offs. We will have a minimum number of scouts doing pickups and drop offs for safety, so please be patient as it may take us longer than usual.

Tree Recycling Info

Trees can be dropped off the first weekend in January at the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club in Lynnwood, or at the Safeway in Mountlake Terrace. We also offer pickup in Lynnwood, Brier, Mountlake Terrace and areas of unincorporated Snohomish County. Trees should be free from all ornaments and decorations. Unfortunately we cannot accept flocked trees. Donations are appreciated but not required for pickup or drop off.

About Us

Boy Scout Troop 49 has been offering tree recycling services to the Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier and unincorporated Snohomish County for many years! We are an active troop with over 50 members. We do outdoor outings and campouts every month, in addition to learning skills and having fun. Our troop has been chartered through the Alderwood Boys & Girls Club for over 90 years. Our annual tree recycling event provides a service to the community and offers a fast and easy way for you to get rid of your Christmas Trees.
