Scouts will learn the basics of firearms safety, including how to safely handle a shotgun and appropriate person protection gear. This is the classroom only portion of the Shotgun Shooting Merit Badge. Scouts will need to complete the shooting portion of the Merit Badge at a camp or shooting sports event with a qualified adult.
